Derek Botha
Client Development Partner
Derek comes to Glendinning with a wealth of experience gained from his 25 years at leading Global companies such as Unilever, Reckitt & Colman & The Gillette Company. During his Corporate career, Derek gained extensive experience in the Sales & General Management functions. His last Corporate assignments at Gillette South Africa, included the successful heading up of the Sales Function for their shaving business, grounding the Braun business unit (Shaving, Hair Care & Oral Care appliances) and leading the Writing Instrument business Unit (Parker, Waterman & Paper Mate) in South Africa as well as the African continent
Since joining Glendinning in 2001 as a Director of Consulting, Derek has worked extensively across two of the three practices:
Capability (specifically targeting Key Account capabilities – with emphasis on deploying Glendinning Compass online, our web enabled assessment tool)
Go to Market (focusing on RTM & Channel strategies for both FMCG & B2B clients). His extensive knowledge and pragmatic approach has enabled the introduction of Glendinning product offers to numerous new Clients.
In his spare time, Derek’s passion for motorcycles and the outdoors, keeps him and his wife, Yvette young at heart.
